Tracking Down the Problem Part 1 Needles

To ensure the right needle for your job:

bulletKnow what type to use.
bulletKnow the quality of the needle.
bulletDetermine what size to use.
bulletUse the needle with the point suited for the work.

Most commonly used needle sizes in embroidery: (from small to large; European[American]/Singer)

70/10
75/11
80/12
90/14

Knits or Delicate Fibers, used to avoid cutting the goods by needle penetration.

Available in a variety of cutting points:
Most common for embroidery is SD - Round Point with Tri Tip
Plastics, Vinyl, Leather, sewing over heavy seams such as the seams in some 6 panel caps.
