Do you have a question about embroidery or sewing? Want to know how embroidered designs are made? How to make wetsuits? Or what machine to use for making buttonholes?
Ask Earnie! Earnie Allen, owner of C.H. Holderby Co. and Tajima West, has been in the sewing machine industry since he was 16 years old. Earnie has attended various technical training schools in the USA, the Orient and Europe, but feels his primary experience and education has come from working directly with equipment. Earnie has owned C.H. Holderby Co. since 1972. The company has grown to include the main office in Seattle, Tajima West in Whittier, and San Francisco, California, and Phoenix, Arizona. Earnie has worked with embroidery since the infancy of electronic embroidery and with manual embroidery equipment before. From our Seattle office he also sells and services industrial sewing machines and equipment, service and supplies related to all spectrums of the sewing industry. Earnie strives to share his knowledge with others, both those in the industry and those "just curious". He tries to bring a practical approach to embroidery and sewing techniques and principals. Earnie is a well known industry speaker and has participated in writing for the industry.
